Privacy policy
Version 2026-10-26. This policy describes what Swingalizer stores today.
Who this is for
Swingalizer accounts are for adults: a parent or legal guardian, a coach, or an instructor. The app does not offer an account to a child. An adult may enter an athlete’s name, including the name of a minor, and may record that athlete’s swing.
What we store
- The email address you use to sign in, and the time you sign in. Sign-in is handled by Supabase Auth. The email address is not the internal account key.
- The role you choose: parent, coach, or instructor. One account can hold more than one role.
- A team name, sport, and athlete display name that a coach or instructor enters.
- The parent email address a coach enters when asking for permission, the permission decision, the time of that decision, and the consent statement the parent agreed to.
- An athlete name a parent enters, the coach or instructor email the parent enters, and whether that person accepted or declined.
Video recorded in the iPhone app stays on that iPhone unless the signed-in adult uses “Copy library to your account.” That copy is private to the account that made it. A coach’s permission record does not by itself copy video, and a parent’s request for a coach to join an athlete does not share video.
Parental permission
Before Swingalizer treats a coach as having a parent’s permission to keep a named athlete, the coach enters a parent email. Swingalizer emails that address a sign-in link. After the person signs in with that email, they can grant or decline the consent statement. The stored record is that email’s decision, the statement, and the time. It is not a separate check of a government ID.
A parent can ask a coach or instructor to join an athlete the parent named. That person gets a sign-in link at the email the parent entered and can accept or decline. Accepting connects the two accounts to that athlete name. It does not open the parent’s videos.
Who can see it
A coach sees the teams, athlete names, and permission status on their own account. A parent sees the athletes they named and the status of the coaches they asked. The parent email sees the consent request sent to it. The coach or instructor email sees the join request sent to it. Swingalizer does not publish a roster or a video gallery.
Services
The website is hosted at HostGator. Accounts and the records above are stored in Supabase in the United States (us-east-1). Sign-in email is sent through Resend from admin@swingalizer.com. Those providers process the information needed to run the service. Swingalizer does not sell personal information and does not show ads.
How long we keep it
We keep the account, the team, the athlete name, and the permission or join decision while the account stays open. This version does not yet include a button to delete an account or withdraw a permission that was already granted. To ask about a record, email admin@swingalizer.com.
